If you enjoy the challenge of the slop like we do, this 12v Trail Washer will make the difference between limping home with your engine overheated and a trouble-free day of play. Whether we’re riding in soup or dusty gravel between the mudholes our radiators suck in the terrain and eventually plug up enough to start our machines running hot, and worse. Through the years we’ve tried splashing in rivers forward and back to clean our radiators and even those wimpy bilge-pump driven washers. Nothing has done the job, until this.

The Quadovator Trail Washer is built around a 12v SHUREflo Marine Blaster wash-down pump. This unit is designed specifically for this type of application. The pump can run dry without damage and is rebuildable if it ever sucks up something it doesn’t like. It’s rated at 3.5 gallons per minute but it draws quite a bit less the way we have it set up because we’re not going for flow, we want PRESSURE. An internal switch allows this pump to run “on demand” so the motor turns on and off instantly by pressing and releasing the trigger on the wand. Right out of the box this system will shoot a concentrated stream of water 37 feet! If you don’t hang on to the wand tight enough the “jolt” when you hit the trigger will take it out of your hand.

The quick-detach wand (for storage) is designed specifically for getting to all the places on your radiator, front and back, that no other method of washing (short of disassembly) can reach. Its tip is formed to discharge a concentrated stream of water at pressure significant enough to blast the crap out of your radiator without bending or damaging the fins. The short, sharp right angle at the tip enables you to clean areas of your radiator that are inaccessible with any other tool. Its length and angle allows you to reach in above the front tires to clean the back of the radiator and dislodge the crud that gets packed in the corners of the fan shroud. Then from the front you can give each row of fins a direct and concentrated blast of spray. Think of it as the “water pic of radiators.”

Just drop the screen-protected intake hose into a lake or stream between mud runs, snap on the quick-connect wand and plug the cig-lighter style plug into your 12v accessory outlet. It’s set up for radiators but it works so well you’ll be tempted to “blast off” your entire machine with it. The “carrying case” is actually a modified collapsible 5 gallon water bag so if you can’t park near the water source you can use it to bring the water to your machine. If you ride with the same buddies most of the time you need only one washer for the group. As with all of our Quadovator products, we’ve spared no expense in building this with the highest quality components available.
